Hi there! This is my first official blog ever. Hopefully it’s not my last.
The weather has been so nice that I have been inspired to write about spring. That’s right, spring is here and that means it’s time to do some “spring” cleaning. I have to admit that I spring clean year round and it always amazes me how much junk I have. I say “junk” but it’s the stuff I am just not sure if I am going to use again. I think of saving junk as a way of saving money. But am I really saving money? Who know?! I like to form different “junk” piles and then store away and if I don’t’ use it w/in 6 mos. ---I DI it. There is always the fear that I will be looking desperately for something I know that I donated and it has happened, more than once. But I am okay and throwing away the junk is very liberating.
If money is tight or you’re on a budget, then “spring cleaning” (anytime of the year for me) is a great way to re-invent your space. Pick a room and de-junk it. Decide what can be donated and what you can’t live without. Depending on the condition of the room will determine what comes next -- meaning walls and/or floors. Hopefully a can of paint is all you need. Paint will give any room an instant transformation for super cheap with a little elbow grease. If you are even just thinking about taking on such a daunting task then good for you. That is the first step. If you make to the next step, then good luck. If you decide it’s too much work then give me a call.
