I can’t believe that tomorrow is Christmas Eve! It’s felt like a whirlwind of holiday parties and spending money. Overall it’s been a stressful holiday season with no husband. He told me he
wouldn’t be home home until Thursday night but when I pulled into the driveway on Wednesday afternoon his black truck was there! Best Christmas present ever!

Beautiful Kitchen
I saw this kitchen and loved how bright and clean it looked but mostly I loved the drama that the chandelier added. If I ever have my own house……..the lighting will be crucial to the design…..it can make such a difference. This is Nicole’s kitchen from Me Oh My blogspot. She seems like a super cute person with an adorable little girl. Check out some more pictures of her kitchen here!

Last Day of Preschool
Yesterday was Naaman’s last day of Preschool, until February anyways. Naaman just loves school, so it was fun to watch him sing and interact with the other kids. They had the Boise State Culinary school make gluten free cookies for the kids to decorate. I am so amazed at how supportive all the teachers were about Naaman’s gluten free diet. They were all very positive and were happy to try our recipes so that Naaman could be included. That is amazing!
When Bonnie (head of preschool program) announced to all the parents where the cookies came from and why, Jade said she heard one of the parents say that she has tried gluten free foods but just didnt like how they taste. Wow……I wish it were that easy for some of us! If I had overheard the comment I probably would have gone into my spiel about the digestive issues surrounding gluten and the inevitable link to auto-immune diseases………and how there are probably people in her family (including herself) that might have gluten intolerance. I don’t like ignorance.

Holiday Picks
I love these cute kitten heels from Anthro. I want!
Love, love, love this dress. It would be such a great versatile piece for the wardrobe. The color is fantastic and would work for spring and fall.
Hopefully Anthropology will have some amazing after Christmas sales!

What I Wore
Try not to look at that crooked picture in the background….. It’s the blouse I love and my cheetah print heels. I wore this to church (that’s about the only time I dress up) and afterwards I saw my husbands cousin and he said he loved my shoes. I don’t think I’ve ever had a guy compliment my shoes. He said he loves shoes but his wife didn’t really care and he wish she did. What husband wants his wife to like shoes? Then he asked if they were real? That caught me off guard……who wears real anything today? …. Faux is in!

My Dream Closet
Jenna Lyons is the president/creative director for J crew. Here is a little slideshow of her closet. It’s basically like her own little J crew store….hence the reason why It would be my dream closet.
I saw that Karen over at Only Things I Love mentions Jenna’s Brownstone, which is on the market. Check out her listing here. Pretty amazing

Happy Thanksgiving!
Josh got home around 11pm last night, he has been in Louisiana working. It was a 36 hour drive! The crazy thing is that he will be leaving on Saturday to head back down there. I feel for him…..that’s a lot of wear and tear. He didn’t come home empty handed. He brought Livy and Naaman presents. Our kids think they should get a present anytime one of us leaves. When I pick Naaman up for school he always asks “where’s my present?”.
Josh got Livy monkey earmuffs and they are so cute!

This Made Me Laugh

The Breaking Dawn story line is pretty nuts. I loved the wedding…..the dress….it was beautiful! But everything kind of goes south after the honeymoon……(I’m sure a lot of us can relate..ha..ha). I did have a ton of fun hanging out with the girls. Any reason for a girls night out works for me! I will post the party pics soon!
